Beginning in the fourth grade, one full-time high potential teacher works with students to provide challenging educational opportunities for identified students who demonstrate superior ability in academics, creativity and/or leadership.

 

The QUEST Program was established to provide enrichment and offer challenges to high potential students in district elementary schools. The program's focus is on high ability in academics and critical thinking.  All curriculum used with the Quest students are aligned with the Minnesota State Math and Science standards and will have a STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Math) focus.

 

 

If you are moving to Alexandria Public Schools and your son/daughter is currently enrolled in a high potential program, please bring pertinent information with you to expedite the process of identification. All students must go through the identification process and there is no reciprocity.
