Rick Sansted was selected to serve as superintendent of Alexandria Public Schools beginning July 1, 2020. 

Sansted has worked in the district since July of 2015, serving as the Assistant Superintendent for Teaching and Learning.  Prior to his time in Alexandria, Rick served in the Edina school district as an elementary principal, middle school assistant principal and secondary social studies teacher for a total of 16 years. 

Rick started his teaching career just north of Alexandria in the Parkers Prairie school district where he spent four years as a teacher.
